To camp fully (setting up camp), you must head to an official area or campsite. Vanlife in Tenerife revolves around a few zonas de acampada and municipal or private campsites, which offer services, toilets and sometimes electricity.
The Arenas Negras area, in the Corona Forestal, among pines at over 1,200 m, is one example of a set-up site. Some zones require prior authorisation: check with the local authorities or the Cabildo.
